Holden to use automatic pre-select gearboxes in 2009!

Well Skaife in 2006 fried a clutch and got wiped out, now Tander does a repeat in 2008.

Perhaps Tom can get Tander an automatic gearbox for 2009!!!!

Terrible starts from Pole.

And has Skaife actually arrived at his 'use-by-date?

What I saw is Tander jumped the start reset and stalled, no clutch problem.

They've probably blown the 2009 budget on all the duck tape they used today.

That must have been tough. Its ridiculous that so called motorsport fans would cheer at someones misfortune. They are chimps.

I suppose you could argue that most of the other "top" drivers kept it off the wall. Lownes/Winchup, Winterbottom/Richards, Murphy/Richards all kept it on the black stuff while schnoz managed to screw up the run into and around Forest Elbow all on his own............

What a crock statment that is, of course people are going to cheer when the other side falters, it happens at any football match, boxing, motorsport.

What a stupid statement.

When Tander stuffed the start, all I could hear was polite golf claps from the punters along pit straight Trev

I'm with Rotorfan, only a buffoon would cheer when an opposition team car crashes.

Surely, a real motorsport fan would rather see their hero pull out and make a great, clean pass to take the lead?

what world do you live in, a world without passion obvously

if we expect cheering for the good move then we have to expect the opposite with the bad moves.

No one once to see crashes like what the Rat had (why they had to keep going to the incar is beyond me) but when skaifesy stuffs up and tags the wall then he its only fair that the crowd should go nuts, just like when murph slides it down the inside of Richo. its the two sides of motorsport.

I must say that the last pit stop for jamie/Craig had a very appreciative round of applause from the pit straight grandstand( and maybe from GA as well, i couldnt tell), its the only place I know that happens
