Yes, the Panoz had a music all of it's own. Heavy metal all the way. Definitely one to savour. I have to also say that the whistling song of the Bentley EXP8 was svelte in a way I haven't often heard from a racing car, but the full effect would be lost whenever it was running close to another car.

I have to say, I am still biased towards one car that made a very powerful impression on me. I was standing minding my own business around the back of a Ferrari 512M once when it started up, and when I climbed down from the pit garage ceiling, I was truly converted. There really is something about a "twelve".

Unless, of course, the "twelve" was built by Matra. Ack.

Did anyone else make it to the historic festival last year at Silverstone?

To hear cars that I never had a chance of seeing race before like the GT40 & Jags was something else, I was in the garage of a Jag when it was fired up and about 3 people had to be peeled off of the ceiling!!

There are some photo's on our web-site showing activity in the garages, if the same format is set for this year it's one not to be missed.

Any TWR V12 jag passing along the pit straight, up to the Dunlop bridge, slight lift then hard on the gas all the way to the Esses.

Nothing has ever come close.

Looking at the pictures of the work going on at LM looks like nothing will ever come close again!!
