I quite like it. Although, if you read the release it makes you realise once again that visual artists are visual artists because when they use words it just sounds trite. Ben |

I don't know if you have seen the interview with Theissen on SpeedTV.com but here's the link:
http://auto-racing.speedtv.com/artic...ario-theissen/ Anyway, the doesn't really say anything new except for one thing that caught my eye... "The biggest challenge has been adapting the car to ACO regulations... [changes mainly in rear suspension area] But aside from that, it’s usual preparation." John Dagys added the brackets and deleted where I assume Theissen went into the differences. So do any of you have any insight into what he is talking about? I don't mean vague descriptions, although if that is all that is available I'll take it. I want real geek stuff, the more info the and the more technical the better. Thanks! |

That looks great, I like the traditional BMW livery even if it is a bit boring but that NFS car looks very tough.

BMW confirms return to the DTM:
http://translate.google.com.au/trans...ance-4237.html Theissen states that the M3 will be used as a base. Earlier in the article it also states that 'certain requirements must be met' Wonder how this will affect the GT programme/any return to LMP? Last edited by R4z3rw33n; 29 Apr 2010 at 10:29. |

Does anybody else see this as a possible step towards DTM becoming a GT series? Audi has the R8, Mercedes now has the SLS etc. The only odd piece of the puzzle is the M3. It also seems a bit ironic they would opt to use the M3, given the ACO homologation woes they've faced. |

Maybe BMW requirements are rules common with SuperGT, as autosport.jp said weeks ago.

really hope it is something similar to GT2/3 specs but I won't hold out much hope there, it's been a prototype series for as long as I can remember.

And the fact that they are talking to Super GT and Grand Am makes it even more likely that it will still be a prototype series.

A new GTP class (Gran Touring Prototype) , to replace the FIA WC GT1, in the ACO races?

I'll prefer that because there're already lots of championships for FWD 350hp cars. And the rebirth of Gr5 would be amazing. BMW come only in fact these cars can be used in other champ (Super GT), and there're talks with Grand Am bosses. If BMW desided to announce their plans then talks between ITR, GTA and Grand Am are going in positive direction. Really hope to see a new Gr5 class machinery racing at Norisring, Suzuka or Laguna Seca.

Damn those cars are good looking, especially the Benz, Mustang, Z4 and Vette.
Look forward to watching those cars on MotorsTV this weekend. |

It all remains to be seen I guess, but a DTM-rules series would go over a lot better than current Grand-Am, especially if the racing was decent (which admittedly it currently isn't in DTM)... |

Theissen said they can test their DTM car in VLN next year. Of course, if everything goes well.
