It is a hatchback model too... airflows are different from a conventional 3 box sedan... does the racing version run a rear wiper?

There was mention elsewhere of Supercar aero tests next week, and that the team has prepared multiple aero solutions to trial to get to a signoff stage

Stanthorpe seems like an unusual airport to select if the surface is that loose that it damages the bodywork!

We did some standing 1000m runs there many years ago, lots of gravel and just past the 1000m there was a huge bump, certainly not smooth.

I think they've done something with the mufflers to make it sound raspier than you would expect. Perhaps using baffled mufflers that remove bass and leave rasp (e.g., like a raspy Porsche GT3 or Cup Car) instead of typical glasspack ones that remove rasp and leave bass (which is what you don't want with a V6 turbo).

However, overall it still sounds a bit droney. Not a patch on the wail of the straight-six in the lovely Skyline HR31.

The crowd definitely went to the fence to watch & listen to that last demo from Mr Murphy! Mr Mintern was gee-ing up the crowd on the on-course teev as well.

It sounded great! Different from the V8 for sure..

Now if only Holden had brought along a ZB road car for the crowd to take a peek at

Do you need an ear calibration?

I don't see (hear) how that is possible, the Carrera Cup cars are very, very raspy & high-pitched (maybe almost too much, don't tell the Germans that!), I don't see how a turbo can sound like that as a turbine tends to muffle the raspiness of an engine.
