sutts should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Upon watching the race I thought what a great finish this will be HHF and the Williams boys up towards the front. Then what happened they all had to pit again as they didn't quite take on enough fuel in their first fuel stop.
Can someone give me a godd reason why they didn't take on that bit of extra fuel to go the distance.

I was wondering the same because it was an 'extra bit of fuel' which won HHF the French GP last season.

HHF's gearbox broke, so strategy academic.
Besides, it was only because of low fuel loads that Jordan & Williams could keep pace with the McLarens & Ferraris.
All this talk of the wrong strategy is **** .
BMW-Williams looks very, very promising. Jordan, on the other hand look to be in deep trouble without a works ngine. Time for EJ to work his magic...

It's not the engines that are letting them down. It's the reliability. Last year they had less speed and Frenzy finished in the points every time he finished ... this year he runs up front until the (*&^%$ car breaks and gets zip for his day. I think it was a very poor tradeoff.

Williams is a team not known for their great strategy.

Regarding the fuel issue, wouldn't it be a more even race if all the cars started with enough fuel to finish the race and only pit for tyres as in BTCC?
After watching some refueling mishaps in the past,it looks pretty dangerous to me and one day there will be a serious fire.
I hope they change the rules before that happens.

Williams and Jordan had to run quite light in the first half of the race just to keep with the others (well that was the excuse!!)..

So I presume that they wanted to keep with the others (get on TV lots etc..), and hope others broke down later in the race.. when they had to pit again.. Should have swapped their strategy half way though!!!

But it was good to see other cars running up the front for a change.

Same as Liz said - in the end it's not the engines which are failing them, it's the reliability gremlins at work.

Think about how many retirements HHF had last season.... Was it 2? So far Jordan have recorded rather too many retirements this season....

I wonder if this time the fuel load is the only reasons the Williams and the Jordan kept it up with the top cars. After all, the qualif times were pretty close. The track design is also more fluid.
I am puzzled though with MS. More fuel yes, but was he so heavy to miss chances to pass JV or so confident that his strategy would pay later, or was he told to let RB make the show to discard previous and loud critics of Ferrari's "combinazione". It after all a very "unsportsman" team and yet so beautiful,..... I mean the color of the car.
