Murphy
After last year, well done what a brilliant result.
Also, about time the stewards handed down the same punishments to Team Skaife that everyone else gets. Now if they Colin could manage to be a little bit more consistant |

A big well done to Murph and Ricko!!
Top effort and well deserved! Also, good effort from the no. 16 Team Brock car of Ritter and Marshall. Let's hope Ritter can get the drive he deserves in 2004!(hopefully in a Holden!!). Hard Charger Award must go to Speedy Thexton - up 23 spots from 39th to 16th! |

Well done to Murph and Rick, on the pace all week and deserved to win.
Lowndes and Seton did extremely well but unfortunatly we will have to wait till next year for Seto's win. Their car had good pace and seemed to have quite a bit of stick in a straight line as well. |

Re the Skaife punishment - personally I liked the comment by one team manager/owner (can't recall who it was) - 'If it had been us we would have been in 10 laps ago' - which was, IMHO, a very telling commentary on what others also think of HRT...

The team owner that said that Racetime was Bruce Ellery.
Shows they don't care about safety to much, especially after Sandown's little auto electrician work. |

Like him or dislike him, Murph deserves his win. He and Rick were the No. 1 team out there today and in reality for the whole 4 days.

Well done to Murph and 'The Rickler' (whoever came up with that should be shot, but anyway) and also to KRT for giving them the fastest car out there all weekend.
Not bad for a car that was donald-ducked at Hidden Valley, eh? |

I Dont like Murphy from previous encounters with the guy but all I can say is Well Done. Ive tried but I cant find fault with the performance of Greg, Rick, The car or the team today or at any time on the weekend. They deserved the result .

Murphy and Kelly were a class act. Fast all day, they kept out of trouble and deserved to win.
I believe that on the Ten coverage, it was said they changed their front brake pads twice. Now no one needs to change brake pads at all, because they will last 1000km, its merely another "human factor" within the pitstops - it certainly caught out Tander and Whincup! I wonder whether using an "aggressive" brake pad compound, and having to change it twice would have constituted a competitive advantage for the Kmart team. No doubt all will be revealed in due course. |

Congrats to Murphy and Kelly for a brilliant drive.
Murph's qualifying lap was one of the most exciting laps of Mount Panorama I have seen in a long time. And Rick Kelly was under a fair bit of pressure during the race but did a sterling job to keep his end up. He seemed genuinely disappointed that his brother couldn't join him on the podium, that would have been a very special mon\ment for them both. I also think he might very well be the youngest Bathurst winner for some time to come as I can't see any nineteen year olds getting such a plumb drive without some exceptional circumstances. |

Congrats to Murph and Rick. The weekends performance was sublime! The car was unmarked! I think this highlights Murphs brilliance!

Yes, it didn't have a mark on it. It's amazing what two days of testing can do.

The engine builder from Kmart Racing needs a big pat on the back as the car was over a second a lap quicker than the next car all Murphy and Kelly needed was a trouble free run and luck was with them. Skaife problem was luck had to let him down sometime but the best he could have finished was second.

And an engine alone won't give you a one second advantage. It certainly wasn't any faster in a straight line anyway, especially once they are on the rev limiter! |
