Why? If Indycars can run there without issue so can WEC. Road America will easily draw a ton of spectators, much like Sebring and Road Atlanta.

It would pass just fine. The angle of impact isn't severe enough to cause issues.

I think there are at least 4 great corners on that circuit, a pitty that, due to it's location, it will be rarely used by any series.

Because of NASCAR not taking Sprint Cup there, the circuit(Road America) will not improve to WEC's wishes and therefore a shitty track like Indy's Roval will replace CotA

I've been told that Indy isn't an option... Though, with the WEC/IMSA combined weekend at COTA, now being split, and abysmal numbers on a standalone event, I'm betting Mexico and Montreal find their way into the 2017 calendar... No need for an American round.

A million times yes. I watch Spa and I enjoy the Nurburgring and Fuji rounds, because those are the interesting venues. The others I might watch (apart from Bahrain) but don't go out of my way.

I care where they race. But I don't turn off a certain race because it's not where I like. Shanghai, Bahrain or COTA aren't the greatest race tracks, but at least they're part of the schedule.

This is generally my view apart from when series go to Paul Ricard. That circuit is so awful it's too hard to enjoy.

I really don't understand your logic here, it's assuming the cars will automatically put on a good show irregardless the venue they race on while certain tracks have proven over and over again to live up the positive or negative promise (compare for instance Lime Rock and Mid-Ohio vs. Shanghai and Bahrain). If they'd replace Spa with - let's say - the Slovakia Ring, would you still feel the same about it? Don't you think the series would thrive with establishing a series of more distinct/unique events combined under the world championship umbrella?

This isn't about being at other venues. It's about having a race to watch or not. Some here claim they don't watch Bahrain or whatever, but imo it's better to have it than not. It's a fantasy to think the wec will go to everyone's favorite tracks. They will never be at places like lime rock. Don't mean I don't want them to run at a place like that or Sebring or Road America.

Even if Bahrain is not the most exiting track to look at, it hosted one, if the the most exiting WEC race last year.

Isn't there a promoter's test day at Mexico City on Wednesday before official free practice starts (Mexico City, like COTA and Bahrain are Saturday races)? I don't see it listed as being part of the WEC's weekend schedule. I remember reading about it somewhere, but I've not been able to find the article that I found that info in.

Again ACO show their great skills for attracting new/part-time customers:

***Despite having submitted an entry request and having initially been placed on the reserve list, Riley Motorsports Dodge Viper GTS-R will not take part in the next round at COTA, according to Bill Riley.

***Greaves Motorsport team manager Jacob Greaves told Sportscar365 they had tried to also enter COTA with its Gibson 015S Nissan but the entry deadline had passed by the time Rebellion withdrew its second car.

A total of 32 cars are also expected for the Texan round.

Apparently Scuderia Corse was also interested in entering a Ferrari in GTE. And I don't wanna bet on the second Manor car present in LMP2 either.
