Because Kotek wants to pass no matter what. Real shame for Derek as he had his share of bad luck already. But it shows he's really quick. Don't underestimate the advantage of track knowledge the others have!

He pulled a similar stunt on Castoral in the heats. There were other drivers taken out of heats like the evo taken out by a local focus. The COC didnot want to know about them and wanted €500 to look at incidents. it was a joke someone will get badly hurt there.

This class brings out the worst in its drivers to be honest, most of the big shunts happen here as the cars are so equal and getting the holeshot is so vital!!

I reckon it was frustration. He wanted to have a run at beating the Astra and was beaten away by Derek, from the second row, remember......
The second touch was inexcusable, though. In Hungary, there were quite a few black flags, pity it wasn't the same in Austria!

The race should have been black flagged and the driver excluded that said I dont see too many drivers being repremanded for driver conduct over here either. Ask me there should be a two strike rule, once get a warning twice put it on the trailer..........

Thanks PhergAthor & everyone for your support, we are pushing extremely hard all the time. We will continue to fight hard... Koteks move just gives us more determination to push harder and dig deeper for the rest of the season. It's very true what you say about track knowledge, Castoral has been competing in Division 2 European rallycross for 11 years!

We have lots of work to do after the weekend. I just got back late last night, I had a very long drive home with 3 tyre blow outs on the trailer & no brakes on the van. It was a long drive on your own but I have some help with the driving for Norway, Sweden, Belgium & Holland.

It was great to have John & George in the Finals, it's a great lift for team Ireland! Hopefully Kevin & Pat can get a final in Scandanavia but, it's such a steep learning curve. Not to mention the pints we'll have when Maximum Attack (Guttorm Lindefjell) wins, then George will bring him to Mondello

PS: Just watched the coverage, thats my dream Sunday afternoon, a couple of hours of live ERC Rallycross with MC Leo Nulty

Yes, track knowledge is important! And in Höljes at least you’re car has it The Honda is perfect for Höljes, I am sure Nicklas will give you some tips on how to be quick around the track! I hope you make it 3 in a row!! Good Luck Derek!

Many thanks, I will have to buy Niklas lots of Pints of beer over the weekend Maybe I should bring him some Guinness

Yes, there is a lot of damage, more than meets the eye, we have a very busy week ahead but it will be worth it as my dream of Rallycrossing in Scandanavia is realised.

Guru; lets call the ERC24 guys "The Apprentices"! Who will get the big job? They're all doing an exceptionally good job... What will you teach them next!

Derek, be very carefull with your Guinness! There are thousands of thirsty Swedes and Norwegians in those Finnwoods up there, looking out for something different to their usual moonshine (PoitÃ*n)…

But for those competitors who reach the rostrum, there is never true champain available. Just Pommac, a kind of Swedish cidre…
