I honestly have a horrible memopry for things like this and I missed a lot of the race dude to sleep and lack of TV coverage.

That'll be the same stuff that hit the southwest. Its one huge storm cell thats being fed from the south with moist warm air. There is time for it to change yet so I wouldnt necessarily worry for the race in due course.

"I live just south east of Mulsanne bend and we had a little rain but the circuit was deluged. We went to sign in Saturday afternoon and got as far as McDonalds and Leroy Merlin and saw no signs of rain. From there on it was a quagmire everywhere, far worse than I saw in the fields and camping last year. Ditches overflowing onto the roads, mud, gravel - you name it. Some fields were just lakes. From the look of it, without investigating further, it would appear to be from the tram terminus across to the Parc des expositions and as far south as Porsche curves that was affected. Weather forecast today is for rain this morning and storms this afternoon and evening."

Have a look at these pictues on the deluge over the weekend in Le Mans, according to some it was worse than last year in some places, anyway can't be any rain left, so still sure it will be perfect next week.
