For me it's got to be the Audi TT used in the DTM championship last year, or the Opel Calibra used in the old DTM.

Either the 96 Peugeot 406, or the 2000 Alfa 156's in the Production class.

Ok, you asked for it...
The JPS 6 series BMW coupe was a stunner, would love a road going version. But all time classics: Moffat Ford Dealers, Brutt 33 Blue XB GT351 Falcon two door or the Boss Mustang Moffat punted in the ATCC in the late 60's. Don't worry you non believers I'll try and find a photo to post. There I feel better now. Current era V8's, Forbes' Commodore and the Longhurst Falcon. |

Longhurst's Falcon? You have to be joking.
The JPS 635CSi is definitely one of the very best. The silver Volvo S40 looked great too and the 850 Estate. The 2000 HRT cars are quite good, but I prefer the old black and white Walkinshaw Commodore version. The paint jobs on the DTM (both old and new) Mercedes with the 'blown away' bonnets. Almost as good as the JPS BMWs was the blueprint 635 CSi. |

I preffered Moffat's XC Hardtops to the XB. The S40 was a good looker and the DTM Mercs are stunners. The skeleton BMW 635 was truly amazing and very impressive.
I have seen Moffat's Musatng a couple of times lately at historic meetings and the looks pale into insignifance when compared with the sound of the bloody thing! Truely awesome!!!! |

I would say a Volvo S40 too, but the 2000 Vectra was a really racy looking car. Anybody agree?

I was always a fan of the original DTM, the Martini Alfas of Nannini and Larini are very nice looking. Also, the one that Stefano Modena raced was nice as well.

Perhaps I am attracted to boxy cars, but I thought the Volvo 850 sedan, Alfa 155 and DTM MB C-Clas were just the meanest looking machines to hit the race track?

David,
Certainly the XC's were more aggressive in looks, but the more rounded lines on the front of the XB and the dark blue colour have it for me. Yes, I know I am beyond help. I also liked Murray Carter's ? XC that was basically black and georgeous. Given Murray's lap times everybody had plenty of time to enjoy the paint scheme. |

I think the Alfa Romeo 156 and Opel Calibra ITC cars were stylish and aggresive.

This year's Opel Astra DTM machine. Or the TT. Or the Merc...
Other than that, the Schnitzer bimmer from the BTCC. Or the touring car that should have been - the M5 running in the ALMS this year... |

Fot those of you who haven't seen it, this week's Autosport has an 'are you motorsport mad?' questionaire. No right or wrong answers you just add or subtract points depending on your answers. Question 49 seems relevent here:
What's your favourite BTCC livery of the ST eva ? a - Alfa Romeo red (+ 3 pts) b - Audi silver and red (+ 5 pts) c - Anything Vauxhall has done (- 5 pts) d - Nescafe Blend 37 Williams Renault Dealer Racing, etc, etc. Cup of character indeed! (- 8 pts) Sums up this thread pretty nicely. |

I think so, look at 1994, only red cars there and they won. Keep it up Tarquini.

Oh yeah, the '93 Securicor sponsored 850s, Listerine BMW, GM Credit cards and Old Spice Alfas weren't bad looking!! It was very Nascar-ish, which I like!! I hope many more return. |
