Thats a bit stupid really, meaning you have to freeze your but off even though you have facilities meanign you don't have to.

I always store my tyres in an airing cupboard between races to avoid them going hard

About the tyre temps thing, I can see their point, I suppose if someone really wanted to they could turn the heat right up to 30+ degrees and sit their kart right next to the radiators, so I guess it's fair enough stopping it before that happens. However any advantage you get from 5 or so Deg in your tyres will be none existant at all by the time you reach the 2nd turn on a warm-up lap.

As everyone's supposed to be on a level playing field, I think it does make sense to kick people outside, but more because it'll stop people complaining.

However I can't imagine the Mills' working outside on their karts in the winter months having built those buildings them selfs, can you?!

Do you mean between meetings speedy? The tyres I'm going to be using in the next meeting generally stay on the kart in the garage (nice & cool) and the stock-piles stay in the attic.

Edit: Just thought of another point about having pit buildings. Now this is a serious one which should be taken into consideration.

Ok, well people who have their karts under cover, be it an awning or a building, during the summer months vs. people who have their karts sitting next to the van/trailer in the baking hot sunshine.

Tyres on the karts in the sun will loose tenths as they sit their, all their goodness being cooked off... People in the garages, no such trouble.

Thoughts?

I think Christo is a GOOD driver, but not a GREAT one. I raced him in O Plate at Warden Law 2004, and he was quick, but with a budget of £50,000 a year, you ought to be quick. I'm on a budget of £1,500 at best, and I wasn't that far off him, I followed him for half the qualifying. I wasn't shocked to find that he was cheating though, I reckon a lot more like him do as well.

Yeah someone I know who mechanics for a racer says almost EVERYONE cheats.

What is the stuff that can be put in fuel to "oxegenate" it. I heard that this can give about 3 laps of better fuel and give quite an advantage. It is also not detectable.

As a marshal who goes to meetings to watch good close racing, I think that anybody found adding things to fuel should be banned for a long time.

I also feel that pressure from parents in junior racing leads to this cheating.

Because the scrute's didnt put his tyres in the right kind of bag so there was a slim possibilty that they could have been contaminated in transit. Yep thats justice.

I suggest epople read this weeks Motorsport News. Five Super One Junior Max boys have been excluded from Rowrah and had double points penalties after engine infringements were discovered. Including guess who........

And not only that, someone else had borrowed an engine off Mr Christodoulou for the weekend and suddenly found they were 1 second faster and running near the front. That engine was also dodgy.

Lets hope they dont put these engines in plastic bags which suddenly increase the CC hey..?

S1 drivers are caught with alarming regualrity. Christo's engine was sent off last year to be checked and the person that complained had to run with a supplied engine along with Christo. Dunno why. Both were found to be illegal i believe, Truelove and Christo, Truelove was d one who complained against Christo!!! Hahaha.

4 Engines have been checked at a Super 1 round, 3 in Mini, 1 in Jnr Max, guess who (Mr Christodoulou), all were illegal, all were tuned by Force Motorsport who have since been suspended from working on Rotax engines pending an enquiry. Ooops.

Three Sisters this weekend there were rumours that the "CADETS" were filling the fuel line with dodgy fuel to give a couple of quick laps after the start.

I feel sorry for the kids, because this has to be the parents. What are thay teaching their kids.

This is only club racing.
