G-R should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Over the last days, nearly zero posts have been made in here. I'm asking you, the forum members, what we can do to make this forum, the racing sims and games forum, better and more occupied. Tell friends about it, get them in here etc, anything that will help.

Regards,
G-R

Hi there!,

I totally agree! What do me and G-R have to do to make the Racing Sims and Games forum better! I know that we haven't posted a lot either but that's mainly because nothing's happening! Even though I am building a web site I still pop in here 3 times a day to see if any new posts have been posted! But there has been none! Your ideas would be greatly appreciated because we know that what you say is what you want!

Gerard should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi guys,

I'm also a FOSA member and although I don't have the time to do it anymore, I used to edit the sim racing section of their newsletter.
This is what I recommend:

Always keep in mind that different members have different computer systems.
Playstation, PC, Nintendo, Dreamcast and what else is there?
When a PC user sees a lot of postings about Playstation games, he doesn't find that very interesting, now does he?
What you could do is subscribe to some games magazines and find the info there.
Or, if that's too expensive, find some games websites on the internet and look around there.
Remember, if you copy something from one of these sources, always put it in your own words because of the copyright.
Talk about some old games you used to play and compare them with the games you play today.
Talk about the equipment you use to play games with, a mouse, keyboard, joystick or wheel. What has your preference and why.
If you own a game yourself, give an extensive review of it.
Ask other members to post a review of a game they particularly like.
If you know of a way to play a certain game better or to reach better lap times, tell us.
Ask members what car they drive in a certain game, are they going for the McLaren or for the Ferrari and why.
Ask members what they prefer to play, a formula one game, or maybe touring cars or GT's, and why?
Regularly post release dates of games to come.
Send emails to games distributors, tell them you're the moderator of the racing sims section of 10-Tenths and ask them for info about games. When I did this and told them I was the editor of a newsletter about racing sims, they send so much I couldn't read it in one day.
Post cheats and facts for all kind of games for all kind of computer systems.

I hope I just mentioned something that can be of any help to you guys.

Hey hey hey! Game reviews YES PLEASE! Can I do some Playsation ones please????

I guess it doesn't help that it's a bit of a dry season for games in general at the moment - not long until GT2 though....

Gerard, when I see stuff about PC racers and N (Naff) 64 games I switch off though.

Keep it mixed, as it usually is!

The real cutting edge stuff can be found in the amusement centres.

I ususally check ou the arcade games and look for tips in forums like these. Likewise, if I have anything useful, I'll post it for others.

But unfortunately, the hottest game around my area, (Hong Kong), no body here seems to be playing.

A thing I would like to see are some laptimes at game most of us have. I'd like to know if I'm really that good or if the AI-cars are just bad.
I've just re-installed F1-97 (pc-version offcourse) but I need at least a few weeks to find a good setup though.
