and testing already is over for Mclaren after 7 laps today, they have a hydraulic leak, fixing it will take to much time to solve it bofore testing stops for the day.

McLaren aren't sure if Alonso will make Melbourne.

Sauber need to make the most of Australia - at the moment McLaren can't run for anything like a race distance, Force Indias new car hasn't turned a wheel yet and Manor (if they make it) will be running a cobbled together car. Sauber need to take advantage and get points on the board early doors.

That was impressive reliable running from Force India today 73 laps in under 5 hours testing straight out of the box. Next question is how fast is it?

The shadow does not go all the way up beneath the camera mount though Tony, the point where the mount joins the skin should be in the deepest shadow.
I think the whole electrocution theory is rubbish BTW, but thought the "burn" mark was interesting. |

However, as can be seen from photographs taken from various differing points, the "patch" appears in different places on the cowling. Not that it's worth anything, but I think that it is a shadow whilst the sun was at an almost vertical position so that would mitigate against all of the object being shadowed.

Hulkenberg has clocked up over 200 laps in a day and a half is that more than McLaren have done in all of preseason testing?

Last day of testing before the season gets underway - and McLaren have done 2 laps. Anything other than a double DNF in Australia will be a minor miracle.

I've been quite relaxed about McLarens testing, remembering how poor Renault's showing was last year. But the fact is, they continue to struggle to even get out of the pit, with 4 hours lost on the last day of testing alone. I'd be genuinely surprised if we see any solid performances out of McLaren Honda over the first half of the season. |

and Renault(4), Mercedes(4) and Ferrari(3) had more teams last year. Honda only have Mclaren, so less data to work with. |

Poor planning on Honda's part? I find that very hard to believe. They were so adamant that they would only supply one team in their first year. They saw Ferrari and Renault struggle last year and they would have known there would be an advantage in going with two (or more) teams. Does Honda know something we don't, or did they simply underestimate quite how much of a challenge these engines would be?
