Ford GT

Driving yesterday, I saw a Ford GT. It was the new Gulf colours, and certainly looked as though the original pictures were of the prototypes. I didn't think that this car was available yet, it is, did I see a prototype, or perhaps a kit car?

Sure sounded nice though.

coln72 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
If its the GT40 you are talking about, there are replicas available.

Your post is not clear but if it was a Ford GT ie the new one that you saw it was probably a prototype (one of about ten) or pre-production (one of about three) on a mission out of Detroit - full production cars will not ship till 2004 - if it looked like a real one it was almost certainly a fake / kit car - GTD no longer exist (tho obviously their cars do) but there are loads of other kits around

Some of the auto mags have been showing pics of the GT in Gulf colours. How far are you from Detroit ??

I saw one of the prototypes on the street a full two years ago, but that was in downtown Detroit, and it was parked so for all I know it was dropped off a trailer.
