Stowe Outside - looks to be the outcasts post (in the nicest possible way )

Looking forward to it - some familiar names, some not! First time in a while I'll have to catch the bus in the morning!

Post 1. Anybody know if that is going to stay on the pit wall, or will it be back on the outside of the circuit for the GP?

Interesting to see only 9 of us listed as 'FIA Lights'.

Strange to see the new corner and post names too. Abbey Pit Exit Plus?????

FIA lights will be controlling the FIA lights at one of the many locations.. some of those may not be within easy reach of flag points,, i.e. Chapel last year was on the opposite side of the track from the flag point.. Brooklands was in the straight on position and more than 50 meters away from the flag point..
We have only allocated 9 to FIA lights as some/most should be controlled from the standard flag post..
And we can't allocate those 9 until we are sure which ones ..

Pushing the buttons on the boxes that control the trackside light signals. So we're flaggies without any bits of coloured rag to wave.

Beaten to it, must learn to type faster...

Don't forget the BGP social group is http://tentenths.com/forum/group.php?groupid=13 if you're not already signed up, click on the "community" button at the top of the page then "social groups" and follow the instructions to sign up to the 2010 group

For anyone allocated to a pit lane post (either ES or pit marshals) we will have tea and coffee available in the pit office (10p a cup) (possible hot chocolate and soup if I remember to get some!), please bring a mug along though as we don't have enough to go around!

Okay, so, I've had a closer look, and there is:-

Pit Straight (Flag Post 1) (flag marshals x2)
Pit Straight (post chief x2 (yes two))
Pit Straight Outside (incident + fire/snatch)
Pit Wall (flag marshals x2)
Pit Wall 1 (incident)
Pit Wall 2 (incident)
Pit Exit (Flag Post 2a) (flag marshals x3)

So, I can figure most of those out, but it seems that in addition to 3 flaggies at post 2a, there is a pair of flaggies at some other unspecified location on the pit wall as well as a pair of flaggies at post 1.

My best *guess* is that the "pit wall" flags would be on the new post 1, (i.e. underneath what was pedestrian bridge), and that the old post 1 on the outside is still manned anyway by the "post 1" flags. But that would mean that there are two separate flag points opposite each other, both effectively post 1. (Incidentally, there are no separate instructions for the "pit wall" flags - i.e. which bus stop to use, which PC to report to, etc....).

Is my guess anywhere near accurate? Or is the Pit Wall flag something else entirely? In which case, back to the original question, is "Flag Post 1" on the outside or on the pit wall under the remnants of the bridge?
