Rod Birley should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
If you enter and start all the rounds you will get a rebate ("cash back") at the end of the year, or better known as a loyalty bonus. If you miss a round or two you will still get something. Not quite start money but hopefully it will help. At least the entry fees are being kept down to a reasonable price.

Rod, the trouble is, I can't do Sept 9th on pain of death, or other nasty things that a wife can do to a husband! Other than that, I've got everything pencilled in, subject to the car staying in one piece.

Al - the oil, just a weep from the rocker covers onto the headers, and from the back of the inlet manifold, down onto the pipes there.. Probably worse when it started to get hot.

The water out of the header tank probably didn't help matters.

Rob.

After several attemps including one set of cork gaskets, another set of sold called special cork reinforced gaskets (from Real Steel, real crap as they turned out, not the company ther'e good just the gaskets) finally got some Felpro Composite rubber ones from Watford Motor Accessories and they did the trick as they don't split when you torque them down. However it was also leaking from the push fit breathers, answer wrap them with a bit of teflon plumbers tape, job done, at last!!

Because:

(a) It's her cousin's wedding, and
(b) It's Jasmine's birthday, and she's a bridesmaid re: (a)

Hence pain of death by many means!!

It is nice to see that our contribution to the environment has been noticed by motorsport news. Nice story accompanied by Rod hugging trees.

Our Rod doing a bit of tree hugging, very green. I have heard a rumour DTRC will be running on Autogas or Bio-ethenal next year! :-)

It's me "hugging" a tree. This is a scheme for planting some trees to counteract the exhaust gasses produced by our championship last year.

So that's 10 trees for everyone in the series, except for Me & Al, we'll need 100's to counteract ours!!

A good initiative though.

I have considered running "harry" on Bioethanol, but until I can get a supplier to "sponsor" me with a reasonably priced supply, I'm not playing. What's more, I'll have to "undo" all of the mods I did to my engine to make it run on our cheap (ahem!) and nasty pump petroleum spirit, plus get a new carb calibrated for alcohol (off he shelf from Quickfuels - with seals that won't melt when the come in contact with Ethanol).

When I do, I'll either have to do a boot extension to accomodate a 40 gallon tank, or fit a towbar and tow a bowser!!

Rob.
