Park Circuit Series

OK, so here is a chance to start designing. Design a track that runs through a park/national park. You can have as many corners as you like, and please tell us if it is run in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction. Also, if you could make track paths using Google Earth, try to include track lengths in the descriptions. If not, don't worry, because you can just use Google Maps, which is much harder to indicate track length, but still gives you a good aerial view. Oh, and also, try to include your circuits on as wide piece of road as possible, otherwise it would be almost certain to get blocked in an incident. What more can I say? Get designing!

Hyde Park GP (London)

3.2miles approx, anti-clockwise. Barring the technical Marble Arch section, it should cause minimal disruption as it uses the park roads (which will need widening/curbs & features removing).

Contentitous possibly, never going to happen, but we can but dream.

Central Park Raceway

Here's one of my ideas. It's located in Central Park, NYC, and contains 11 corners. According to Gmaps, It is about 1.7394mi or 2.7993km in length, and goes counterclockwise. This circuit would be good for junior formulae and touring car events. But to be honest, I think that this track won't be considered, but everyone dreams about something, like Peat said.

Slightly off topic but might be interesting is the history of the Phoenix Park races in Dublin.

Yeh, I was walking around there last month, and running around there, too, but that's a different story entirely..

It'd be more realistic seeing a demonstration there. A bloody good demo track!

FYI, in the park circuit series, not only does it include national park circuits but you can also create circuits at olympic parks and around football stadiums.
