RaceTime should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Australia Post

I quote from the new issue of the Australian Stamp Bulletin:

Quote:
27 February 2002
Motor Racing
This issue celebrates the sport of motor racing in Australia with a set of six 45c stamps. The stamp designs are based on water colour illustrations commissioned from motor artist Fredd Briggs.
As well as gummed and self adhesive stanps, and first day covers, this issue will include a set of six maximum cards, a stamp pack, a collector pack, and the book, Australian Motor Racing: 100 Years.
Be interesting to see what they are going to come up with.

Who on earth is Fred Briggs?

Sounds like a lost opportunity for Shane Cowham...

And makes me wonder about the authenticity of the history book...

Shane is the only Australian member of the International Guild of Motoring Artists... here's a sample of his work....

...of course, he does colour stuff as well, used to do the Burson calendars, most Victorians would recognise his stuff by that.
