The Main Event

It's dilemma time again! Where to go?
This weekend F3/GT at Silverstone, BTCC at Thruxton, HSCC at Mallory, Ferrari Festival at Donington etc etc....
However if you fancy a change and the weather isn't too bad try the 'Main Event' at Santa Pod.

The entry for this, the first round of the European Drag Racing Championships is the best for about 20 years. Eight 6000bhp Top Fuel nitro Dragsters, 4 similarly horsepowered Funny cars plus a further eleven 'Funnies' with only 3500 bhp in the methanol class.
Jet car, 1500bhp Top fuel bikes and numerous other wierd and wonderful machines in the LOUDEST motorsport in the world. Don't forget the ear plugs!

Phew! What a scorcher.

Fast times, high speeds and sun burn. Perfect!

The car in the picture is about to explode. You can see the flames licking round the back of the blower and raw fuel coming out of the headers on the right hand side.
