Isnt there plans to run 3 out of Trofeo by year's end? Hopefully at least one of those will be steered by pilots that will do the car justice.

Would be nice to see Trofeo snaffle a factory driver for a race or two like what has happened with pretty much every Huracan customer thus far.
And there's Ryan Millier but he's an unknown quantity to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Wonderful recognition of the strength of the series that Nissan is willing to back an entry now, add that with the two Hobson ran GTR's and I think Godzilla fans will be happy!

And the move to FIA driver rankings for 2017 Endurance series and removal timed pit stops for driver parity.

I missed (or had forgotten) about the removal of the timed pit stops. That's a very good thing imho - certainly makes it seem more "real" and can only be a good thing for the strength of the series.

The timed pit stop is there to allow for safe driver changes etc |

Definitely a positive step to do away with the variable pit stop times - good news. |

Nice to see MARC sending the M6 to Thailand. If you have the money to buy the car firstly, shows how flexible you can then be. Drive in Aus GT sprint and/or endurance, Asian GT, 2nd Tier Super GT... If the schedules are setup so that there is time to ship cars to different series' races, the world is your oyster if you have the coin and time.

Been catching some Australian GT races on youtube and I got to say its pretty darn impressive GT racing. It certainly beats Pirelli World Challenge right now.

Tekno + McLaren = GT4
A good indication of the strength that GT racing is gaining in Australia, seems like Tekno are getting on the ground floor of GT4. |

That's answered in the story. But when cars are at 50% of the price of their GT3 brothers, this might be a shrewd move for Tekno, plus it looks to strengthen GT4 numbers in the B12hr, only a good thing.

GT4 has been running in Aus GT in small numbers for years. Hopefully more people will buy GT4s now rather than old GT3s that they cant afford to run more than once a year. |

“It’s a little bit hard because we’re filling the tracks every weekend with GT3, so maybe there’s not room for it, but in an ideal world that’s where I’d like it to be.” GT4 has not been running in Aus GT for since 2014, There ended up no class for it at this years 12 hour |

Think GT4 will be allowed in enduros next year right? This years 12hr only didn't have a GT4 through lack of entries. Much more interest in GT4 next year the class will be decent Aston bringing a factory GT4, couple of caymans likely. 5-6 GT4s at least Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

And if not - GT4 cars still run in the event under invitational classes yeah?
Sooooooooooo no risk. |

However i reckon they will get a class next year, so no problem. Never really questioned that just wondering what else it will do in Australia, unless there are plans to bring more (in theory a cheaper class to run in than gt3 ) Alot of outlay if it only runs the 12 hour, but hey its not my money |
