The only reason that I can see is that with the demise of Albert Park, the Gold Coast and Newcastle, Supercars want to have at least one "marquee street race event".

The 2022 calendar will look very different.

With none of the aforementioned street races likely to take place and Perth being out of the question for at least another 12 months, ditto Tasmania and possibly South Australia, Supercars are going to have to find somewhere to run.

Wow, there is another person here who shares my views and beliefs re Facebook. If something needs me to be a Facebook member I avoid it and certainly have never even thought about wanting or needing to join.
