From memory I believe they don't release camp sites "mid year" which make it hard to plan.

I got offered Redbull/Caltex camp site this year but we still decided to stay outta town again. Rain and communal toilets/showers don't do it for me though.

Yeah sounds like a blast............Does it even matter anymore if your team looses or not......as long as its a good race?

Valid point, often the celebration are bigger if your team wins which makes the trip home harder

But after 7 losses in a row back at the turn of the century, A good race is the most important

For a guy from the West.........just being on top of the mountain is a win in my book.

Dumb Question #748
How far over the blue mountains is the accommodation booked out each year?

and,

Does anyone know what might be happening with Rauno and Bob to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the crushing Mini Cooper S victory?
(and no jokes about crushing shoe box's thanks!)

That's encouraging, Mr May...I thought a lot would travel each day...but no way I would stay in sub-zero Blayney, even in October!!

Lithgow to Bathurst (normally) 47 mins for the 61 odd Km. Allow a minimum 50% fudge factor for race days...not too hard at all.

[Canberra to Darwin over 4 days (diverted due to flooding), now that was a drive!]

I stay in Oberon and we drive each day, not long at all. The drive home after a days racing in sublime going through the Esses..........opps the hills.
Luckily I have a designated driver
