European> Renault.

Japan> Honda or Nissan

I'm sure the usual chatter will exist around other makes, such as Ferrari, Toyota, Mercedes, Porsche etc.... but, they will need to turn out a volume of engines, have one that fits, and be ready to go with reliability.

The Renault 3.5L V6 seems to be a solid, perfect fit... it might not make the HP they want in NA form, but, add on a turbo, and it's right there.

Yes I know, it's really a Nissan lump.

Except that the ACO/FIA have said that OEMs need not apply.

Yes, I know... Lots of other ways around that... Nissan, Renault etc.. can all funnel money, and resources to a private entity who've entered a tender.

I thought they already said this would be a 4 litre N/A V8?
How about Cosworth?

They mention 4 in the article so I wonder if the 5th is an aussie builder I heard rumours about.

There's 5 mentioned in the article, Gibson(Zytek), Engine Developments(Judd), Mecachrome(Renault) and unnamed European and Japanese builders, so we shall see.

Whoever wins the bid, I like the sound of a 4 litre NA V8 - literally speaking.

I completely forgot about that link.... Completely changes my thought process.

I'm betting on Cosworth then as the euro builder.

EDIT: I literally am guessing at this.
