Probably too early to get excited about this yet, but with the names involved I think this has a pretty good chance of coming to fruition.

I do wonder if they are just looking for sponsors, or drivers with budgets, or both? Pretty hard to believe that HPD could sell 6 of these chassis and we could see them all on track in TUSC next year.

I would imagine they will only sell 4 of them and keep the last 2 as spares. They already sold 2 to ESM right?

2 were supposed to go to Level 5 which is now defunct. I've yet to head to their shops to confirm it..but..meh.

Wrong version.....L5 ordered the LMP1 ARX-04a but then it was delayed and finally L5 closed it's doors.

Gotta be honest, I don't think they actually ordered the 04a...I'm actually almost positive it never even left the CAD phase.

If I'm wrong so be it, but, I'm sure they ordered the new P2 with the lack of P1 going forward.

With all the talk of potential P2's and DP's here is what I see as possible next season

I think somebody will be running a Ligier next year, could be Krohn, could be Oak or 8-Star. I also wonder if somebody will be interested in running the new Oreca stateside.

Krohn ... depends who drives. Oak makes the Ligier so they plan to run one.

ESM with its pair, Andretti says they will bring an HPD (maybe two, maybe not.)

Mazda will be back and likely still in the back.

Let's not forget the earthshaking, ground-breaking, bleeding-edge DeltaWing, It might finish a race in 2015.

And then the cars with potential to actually win a race: 2 from AXR, one each, Ganassi, SDR, and WTR.

Whelen might get it together, but enough to bet the big teams? Shank ... never has luck, skill, and preparation on the same day.

Basically five cars will win all the races for the rest of this season and all the next.

Absolutely fantastic news and a great crop of drivers to choose from! Very happy for this team... also committed to the inaugural season of Formula E from 2014-15 with Franck Montagny already confirmed.

I disagree the sooner Tuscar dies the sooner something great hopefully run by people who actually care about sports car racing can take over. If fans keep propping this s*** up because it's the only game in town the longer we are going to be stuck with it.

Also if Tuscar was dead the WEC could run Sebring maybe even Daytona (unlikely) and that would make the WEC stronger.

Just a FYI, but if IMSA fails you will be left with nothing. And it is also obvious that you have done no research on how we ended up in this position!

You mean left with nothing, like when Can Am died, and IMSA GT died, and IMSA GTP and WSC, and Grand Am, and ALMS, PSCR and......

There will be something that will come out of the ashes, once this too runs it's course.
