Sounds good, can you overtake or is it impossible?
Not during the actual race, though you can have the opportunity to 'drive' the car as part of your virtual GP experience.

Oh I thought the idea was to buy the game and jag the whole actual race thing, everyone could be a winner!

No, this is about holding GPs at one venue with multiple track configurations, dispensing with real spectators and selling a multi-package, virtual racing experience instead, e.g. starting with a basic virtual grandstand and then adding on other virtual experiences, like starting grid walkabouts; rather like Sky and their various packages and because it is virtual the permutations are 'virtualy' endless.

benefit? how? as far as I can figure out there isn't a single F1 race that makes money, they are all underwritten by government which does so to promote their city/country and to make money back indirectly through tourism etc. If a race was held at Paul Ricard the beneficiary would be the economy of the surrounding districts, not bernie

I don't think so. The immediate profits, if any, would go to the track first, otherwise what would be the point of them hosting the race in the first place? As for the economy of the surrounding district, well that's the track itself. Just think of the number of people from the local vicinity a track employs, from car park attendents to caterers; it's like a small town.

Ya, but that's because other big costs are underwritten by govt. If Bernie hosted a race himself without any other financial support he'd be paying those costs so there would be no profits apart from the regular media rights money which he gets from whatever circuit the race is at. not that he couldn't afford to do that but rich buggers don't like spending their own money on stuff, they'd much rather spend other people's money

Do you mean national government or local government?
