Do you know who built or ran the Hyundai?

Colin Bond played a part in the first car's construction, hence many of the Corolla parts being carried over. However, I believe they were done by Steve Hardman Motorsport, who prepared the cars until the end of '95.

I agree. Wasn't the excuse used by CAMS was that an E36 with a 2.5 litre engine didn't fit into any international set of regulations so couldn't be run here? The fact that no VP Commodore or EB Falcon was homologated into any international set of regs didn't seem to be an issue though

Obviously CAMS just wanted them to pad out the grid.... but considering that BMW fronted for 1993 with more official works cars than Ford or Holden, to treat them the way they were was disgraceful (not to mention they'd just run Nissan out of the sport too)

Bond also raced it on the Wellington streets in 1994 in the APTCC event

The E36 BMW was an Ex Vic Lee Racing (Soper & Harvey) and had no spoilers from memory and ran in the Listerine colors (Adelaide GP I think)

BMW were really shafted by CAMS over the journey whether it be 635csi or 318 Turbo but especailly the M3 EVO II running weight and no DTM electronic aero or bonnet splitters

There were 2 Linder run E36 3 doors in the '93 DTM driven by Armin Hahne and an other. This was after the factory withdrew so maybe Linder were originally tasked with the development in '92 and then decided just to race them anyway?
