The Volvo sounds Brabham-esque. I really don't know how that isn't the coolest noise an engine can make.

The Merc sounded like a tractor on the pit limiter, but on throttle was like a demon trying to escape from the depths of hell. Not quite as good as the SLS GT3 version though.

If you want to hear more, you can look up the ATS-V.R which runs the same race version of the LF3 V6.

You would think that a logical move, for cost management.
An engine shows up in a box, gets plugged in, gets used til it is out of pre-determined life, gets unplugged, put back in its box, and back to KRE it goes, replaced by another one.
It makes all the Holdens as competitive engine-wise as one another. So rich teams can't outspend everyone else...
