HGPCA Test Day

The HGPCA are hiring Silverstone National Circuit on Friday 21st April for a private members and guests test day. This will be an excellent opportunity for competitors driving suitable cars to shake out the winter cobwebs. The test day is open to single-seat racing cars of the period 1930 – 1965 and post-war to 1965 sports, sports-racing, GT and touring cars. The day will be run in sessions such that only cars of comparable performance will be on the track together. Interested parties should email stella(at)hgpca.net or ring 0207 7785 7204.

Yes, could be some nice cars! The FJHRA and MRL are both 'invited', so hopefully some nice juniors and 50s sports racing stuff as well.....

I went to it last year - it was the day before the VSCC Spring Start (as this year). Quite a varied selection of cars on track and I think they did some passenger rides in the lunch break.

Last year I just drove straight in, told the gate staff I was going to the test (no tickets or anything) and they waved me in. Quite a few casual spectators there I think.
