He was originally a BMR Academy entry in Clios (I think), with A-plan backing and the red/white livery had been publicised. Then he was promoted to the BTCC squad, still under the BMR Academy banner but was made to run under the Adrian Flux livery until now.

Tim Harvey has just said that there was a difference in feel between the Subarus at their test, but nothing to indicate a difference in pace. Seems to suggest that the difference is down to the drivers?

BMWs put in a strong show. Sutton the class act in the BMR camp, but a late lap from Plato puts him further forward than he ever looked like getting through most of qualifying. Neal had a ride height problem that looks to put him to the rear of the grid.
Goff with a great lap to take pole. If the Dynamics Hondas struggle to get through the field, expect the podiums to be dominated by WSR, Goff and Sutton tomorrow. |

Matt Neal reinstated to P4
now poor Shedden will start 21st and touringcartimes and their bad journalism again they say Neal is double champion but he is actually triple champion , 2005, 2006 and 2011 Quote:

Shedden will need to make sure he is consistent tomorrow - it wouldn't be a surprise to see a R3 win for Shedden. |

the problem for Shedden is that he is right in the DANGER ZONE , maybe it would be safer for him to start from the pitlane to survive any potnetial carnage
and is it me or has JELLEY lost all his touch, back in 2009 he could fight for podiums and this year he is always at the back and just 1 point in half season folks here where bashing Giovanardi for losing his touch but Gio at least managed a podium or was near podiums a lot in 2014 |

A pit lane start for Shedden places another 10 cars in front that he needs to pass. I would stick to a grid start and try to stay out of trouble.
Jelley is currently not targeting the same results as he was previously, his current team will have different expectations so a bit unfair to compare. |

Jelley has driven RWD all his career before this, so a better question would be why does it appear to be taking a while to adapt to FWD, rather than has he lost his ability?

Jelley has driven RWD all his life, also the competition is much higher this season. He may have not finished much higher than Alex Martin has, but at least he hasn't caused as many accidents
Anyway well done Goff, he's doing well now he's back with FWD, so too Turks, Sutton still ahead of Plato despite more ballast, and shocker for Flash |

Can UK users still stream races over the internet? I cannot find any kind of link on the ITV site...?

Saved somewhat by other drivers having issues and mix results for the other title contenders. Only 4 pts off Sheddon. However Sutton's got to be strong favourite to be leading after race 2.

There'll be a few penalties after that...
Sutton looking strong for the championship! The issue of drivng standards rages on - strong words from Shaun Hollamby: @DunlopBTCC our first race wasted by idiotic driving from others. Seems mad from a team that can't pay its bills, staff or suppliers? #666 Last edited by luckn002; 30 Jul 2017 at 11:42. |

He's followed up with 'Definitely the worst driving standards today @DunlopBTCC Let's just have a fight in the bar and be done with it? My monies on Stewart Lines!'

And that is why Jack Goff will never win another race or a title. A bottle merchant.

Plato asked if he was still friends with Carl - refused to answer!
Still seems to be conflicting information from the team. It supposedly went for laser alignment tests, but only when they took the subframe off last night did they notice it wasn't aligned the same as the other cars? |

if James Cole has same pace as ballast free works Hondas you know the boost adjustments aren't alright
and RWD cars seems a bit too fast for the FWD |

How about some praise for a good Cole performance? Or question whether the Honda drivers have lost their mojo (as Jelley has been accused of having done)? |
