H16 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Will anyone besides Bentely ever run a Coupe?

To me, the open top Audi R8s, Chrysler LMPs, etc, seem like an F1 car with bodywork. I think the Coupes look MUCH better but only Bentley ran one this year and there were none last year. Does anyone else have any plans to run a Couple anytime soon? Audi UK parked theirs and since Toyota/Porsche/Mercedes all parked their programs, the Coupes are about as rare as overtaking at Monaco.

I wish there were more. Anyone else going to build one anytime soon?

the rules, i think, favor the prototypes, which can do better on fuel, and get wider tyres.

Indeed the rules do favor the open top LMPs over the coupes. I think the "Bentley" was merely a chance for Apex Motorsports to get their reworked Audi R8C coupes back on the track with a rebadged powerplant.

I agree about the Prototypes looking like F1 cars, i think they should all be Group C style cars, under the current rules, like the Bentley, and like the Toyota was.

Group C were the best sportscars.especially the Porsche 956/962.
These open top prototypes are so damn ugly. Bring back Group C is a world championship, it got the manufacturers involved unlike today wher the factory Audis win EVERYTHING. at leat porsche had some private competition as well as jags mercs etc

I think full on group C rules would be a bit expensive, but Group C style cars should be brought back in. Maybe make the regulations exactly the same as now, only that they must be closed top, not open top prototypes, that would be much better and they would go well with the GTS and GT class

With a coupe, it is harder for teams to keep the weight down as the doors and roof etc. weight a fair bit. Bentley has this problem and also a coupe wil get very hot inside, especially in the American weather when it is nice.

But you would have the same problem with the GTS and GT cars, as well as Touring cars and rallying, what is the difference.
