The penultimate round of the season.
A super quick track that values strong car setup, good aero, good engines.

How will they go?

PRA should be super strong, 888 seems to have found their mojo for both cars.

Chances are there will be plenty of action.
Looking forward to it.

I'm hoping that Mark Winterbottom has to start from rear of grid for "entertainment" reasons

You'd have to say as a "form" circuit, Lowndes has had the pace there for a while.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
lowndes , whincup and frosty took 6 of the 9 podium spots last year
Scott took 2 and GT 1

What we all suspected:

Frosty has been weaker for missing Chaz's feedback from the other side of the garage.

Given 2 probably fast 888 cars and Dave Reynolds seemingly on a charge, Philip island could get real interesting.

If Frosty can't elevate himself to the front in qualifying, then some sort of incident seems likely... Honda anyone?

Shades of 2006?

Am I imagining it as I thought that he was asked that same question on Sunday morning and said that Mostert's absence hadn't made any difference ?

It's been known for a while that Mr Mostert and engineer have lead the way with setup in the last little while.

Mr Reynolds however, enjoys a much differently-behaving car to the others, and has chosen to forge his own setup path.

It will be interesting to see how Reynolds behaves on the track. He's tied to Erebus, and PRA does not matter anymore to him in terms of future. We'll see if he's being stopped or not.

Having 'enjoyed' a number of post-burn infections over the years, Mr Percat will likely not be feeling the best, even several weeks after the injury.
