Don't hate the playa hate the game Ford is not hanging about is it? Glad to see a non-caddy up front too.

Bryan Sellers only 9 thousandths of a second ahead of the Aschenbach R8 for p1/2 in GTD. That's damn close.

GTLM and GTD lap times are impressive. By the time qualifying is over. The GTLMs could be matching the old GT1 lap times and GTD could be matching GTLM going back to 2011-2012.

Ha Ha Ha haaaaaaaaaa... Pretty mind blowing to think just how far off the original pre-season BoP was with all of IMSA's supposed incredible computer data simulations. |

Just seems like a lot of people *****ing need to realize that none of this stuff matters in the long run, it's a fun bit of entertainment for us fans, and if you take it too seriously you're not gonna enjoy anything. |

Damn I thought I was watching a sport at some point.
I rather question who is really taking things too seriously here. |

You can't complain DPi is too BoP'd. That's exactly what IMSA said they would do.
I don't like BoP, but DPi would not exist without it. The entire reason we've got styled bodies and different engine solutions is because of the BoP. |

All of us understand the need for BoP. All we want is Fair and Accurate BoP.

There is not a "need" for a BoP. That's a choice IMSA went down. They could've chosen a development class, but they didn't. |

The trouble with air restrictors is they will only limit the peak power at peak revs, but the advantage of this 6.2L engine is its high torque characteristic at low revs which launches them off every corner, this is most likely why they are still flying as the restrictor will not affect this low rpm region......fair credit to Cadillac, GM & Dallara, the package is obviously well sorted and it shows they have been working on this project for 2 years already.......opposed to the rest of the field who hastily cobbled together packages in the last 6 to 12 months.

Dang that Cadillac Dallara DPi looks like a P1 without a hybrid system

Personally I'm preying the ACO and IMSA can stitch together a deal to get the Cadillacs over for the 2017 LeMans race, lets be honest LMP1 is well down on cars this year with 3 Audis and 2 Rebellions leaving the class........having 2 or 3 Cadillacs turn up would really help the numbers.......perhaps even the ESM-Nissans could be tempted also?

The ACO is too stubborn, and Ginetta is saying they'll have 6 cars on the grid in 2018. So that'll add to the stubbornness. As for 2017, hasn't the entry list been announced? I don't think you should have a DPi in 2017 because it'd mean booting out another car. Unless it was put in after the current reserves. 2018 is another matter. |
