Cheap races - Stowe and Mallory

Sunday 28th Nov, 2 races for £110 at Silverstone Stowe - entry form at http://www.graduates.org.uk/2004/Ent..._28_Nov_04.pdf

Boxing Day at Mallory, 2 races for £110 - entry form at http://www.graduates.org.uk/2004/Plum_Pudding_04.doc

I'm sure Diz with be along again in a minute to say there's also single seater races at Anglesey at the begining of December...

I won't. ;p
Oh OK then, I will. And Saloon Cars and Sports Cars. 3 races for £100 [Sun 5th] and an optional Test Day for £65 [Sat 4th]

I should point out on Boxing Day you would be competing in front of one of the biggest club racing crowds of the year (outside of Wiltshire). You wouldn't be at the other meetings!

That should have encouraged a few more to come to Mallory rather than Anglesey then!

Do 'em all (I am) - for £300, you can do 7 races at 3 venues.

Last I heard was about 10, which isn't too bad a month and a half before the event.

Good stuff, I'll expect a full grid then!

Ditto the single seaters - come on guys, this is one of the best events of the year.

I'm bringing this back to the top because I've just had an email from the Chairman of the BARC Midland centre. With news of the entry for the Plum Pudding meeting.

The entry is still very much in single figures so it is absolutely imperative that people get their entries in for this as soon as possible - email b19aln@yahoo.co.uk for a form. For £100, you get two races and a practice session in front of one of the biggest club racing crowds of the year.

I really can't understand why more people aren't doing this event. Just a few years ago we had more than 20 FF1600s on the grid on Boxing Day - and this year the regulations allow for virtually any single-seater to take part. I'm particularly disappointed that more FFs aren't planning to come out - but there IS time yet.

Would love to be at Mallory on Boxing Day, hello Ben, but it's a bit too far from Scotland for an early start.
Going to Anglesey though!!

I suppose one year (2002?) few FFs entered so it was opened out by the BRSCC, who then ran it.

Now, making it a Libre race undoubtedly puts off the FF1600 racers and I can think of a couple who won't do it becasue of that...

excuse my ignorance !! but what is a Libre race ?

I would not mind doing it but I would have to spend £60 to join Monoposto for one race, so I'm waiting for next year.

As a general question, how would me and my son go on if we wanted to drive one race each, as we both have b licence's and have tested all the back end of this year at mallory so we know the track well.

Any other father son drivers out there ???

Gadgit.

Gadgit - Libre means free, ie open Single Seaters.

You do NOT have to be a member of the Mono club for this race - all you need to pay is the £100 entry fee. I'm sure you could do a race each, although both would need to do 3 laps in qualifying.

Drop me a private message if you need to know more.
