Race 1 - Jackson wins from Plato and Nash. Plato was under a lot of pressure from Nash and probably would have been passed I think if they weren't effectively team mates.
See Giovanardi still seems to be the same wily old fox he is, finishing 5th right being Turkington. |

Race 2 - Plato wins ahead of Giovanardi, Jackson and Turk in absolutely tricky conditions - wet track and dry tyres. Gio was a full second quicker than anyone else, that was just fantastic to watch...

Yeah, Plato a little optimistic there.
Boy, some great camera angles. |

Lap 11, race 3 and Vaulkhards car is still in one piece!
Herbet made a crap start from the front row. not really making the impact some were saying he would. |

It would appear Giovanardi is on his own as his teamates were hopeless this weekend in supporting him, Reid made no impact either therefore maybe VX and RAC should drop one car and save the money as theres no advantage.

Race 3, Jackson, Collard and Turkington on podium.
Importantly Jelley was in 4th between Turks and Gio. Why he can't drive like that the rest of the year who knows. 11 pts between him and Gio so I still think we'll see Reid at Rockingham. That circuit should suit the Vectras better, we might see Neal and Jordan manage better. |

I really enjoyed that last race. Lots of good, close, clean action. Turks & Gio are a credit to the series.

Reid ruined his weekend by taking out the wrong car in race one.
Solid job by Herbert in his first weekend. Chevrolet's are exceptional, it's not impossible for them (well, Plato) to win overall still. |

Yep - 42 points now - I forget what it was before the weekend? I see Plato & Jackson have picked up the FFDR sponsorship that Shedden had at Knockhill. Not sure if that means we won't see Sheds again?
Silverline also have a real chance at the Indie teams title if things keep going like this. |

Vaulkard no where near the other Chevys, Herbert ok but a poor substiute for Thompson, Jackson very much on form. Assuming VXR have a fourth chassis like last year we also can't rule out they will being in Menu again for the last two rounds if no clash with WTCC. |

Jelley did a decent job in the last race, by the look of it Turks seemed to have a problem.
As for Reid - I think he did an ok job overall. I know he didn't get near the front but that was the first time he raced the car, he had full ballast, and between his accident in race 1 and the weather in race 2 things didn't exactly work out for him for a decent grid spot for race 3. I noticed that he passed Matt Neal on the last lap in race 3, shame they didn't show it. He'll be stronger at Rockingham, but Brands Hatch should be his strongest outing considering he'll only have 15 kilos of ballast if WSR can find the money to keep him running. Matt Neal is having a dog of a second half to the season isn't he - he's gone from leading the championship to a distant 4th. Lucky for Vauxhall and WSR that it took RML to get those Chevys up to speed - as those things are flying and I think they could win another 4 or 5 races this year between them. Also, good news for Rockingham as by the sound of it we may have another 3 or 4 cars |

Don't forget that was a GM manouvre to help Vauxhall win the championship. As GM no longer own Vauxhall, why would they bring in another driver who might beat the 'GM owned Chevrolets' that are actually in the race? |

Shock, horror! - Vauxhall have won the 2009 BTCC Manufacturers/Constructors Championship (Beating Team Dynamics and Arena Motorsport).

Will Reid return at Rockingham, you have to say at the moment he's not required or did a great job. Tom O Cole would be better placed in the car assuming he has not signed to drive for Arena at the next round.
Neal and Jordan deserve to be replaced based on their last few results, there not even close to Giovanardi's race pace. |
