lumpycustard should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
1972 Constructors Title, what date was it awarded?

Hi there, can anybody help me, I want to know what date in 1972 Grand prix Constructors title was awarded to Lotus/Ford so the day and month if possible.............?

Not sure what you mean here 'lumpy' If you mean the date of the annual FIA prize giving when the trophy was placed in the hands of Colin Chapman,I have no idea.But if its when they clinched the title you want,from the table I have in Autocourse looks like it was at the Italian GP -Sep 10.

Thanks v much, its basically because im restoring an old elan+2 and the one I have had a constructors championship badge on it which is no longer there, probably 'pinched' at some point.Ive found a place to get them and they have 1970&72 badges in stock i just wanted to know which one to go for.....as it turns out, my car was built in October 1972, so it seems likely that Lotus would have put the new badge on their road cars.....sound anorakish I know but thanks for the info........
