I love the way it has been a great second half of the season for the maligned James Cole

Well done James Cole. He's had plenty of doubters on here, but that was a very impressive drive.

Looked pretty balanced to me, three RWD cars and three FWD cars in the top 6.

Fair play to James Cole, that was a faultless drive. Also, how on earth did Josh Cook drag that geriatric MG to 4th?

Except he only managed it on the last lap when Goff made a mistake, hardly what I'd call 'no problem'.

Good to see a new winner and a (unusually) clean race.

No luck for the Toyota's

Great overtake too from Mike Epps.

Forgot to mention that actually. It was a fantastic piece of driving, and the sort of thing that us genuine racing fans want to see more of. Hopefully we can see more of that sort of thing later this afternoon.

Excited to see how the RWD cars deal with the hard compound too. How that works out could depend on the weather.

BTCC threads are getting pretty predictable.

"RWD car has more than 5 horse power! It's so unfair!"
"Yes but RWD Cars only finished 1-2-3-4-5-9 on a track suited to FWD cars, it's clearly not better"

Maybe we should have a separate thread for it, because both sides of this are ridiculous.

Agreed, and what a move by Mike Epps. Also a messy, messy race for Stephen Jelley. Just about every time he was on screen he seemed to be driving into someone.

You could say he turned to...jelly during the race?

It's not a 'FWD track', just that it doesn't particularly favour the RWD. All cars can go well at Rockingham, and a RWD car overtook a FWD car after a driver error.

And so much for the clean racing earlier...

No idea what Josh Cook was trying to achieve there. Way, way too aggressive driving against Jackson and Neal.

The last lap battle between Jackson and Turks was awesome, more of that please. Ingram going from 32nd to 9th, and Chris Smiley getting his first top 10 finish deserve shoutouts.

well TOCa doesn't need to bother about RWD/FWD anymore

it's just Sutton or Turks but without boost cut I fear neither Turks can win

and what the heck is WSR doing ????? they need team orders ASAP

Don't want to add fire to the RWD vs FWD / Subaru boost debate, but noticed that -

R1 Snett - Subaru wins
R2 Snett - Subaru wins
R1 Knock - Subaru wins
R2 Knock - Subaru wins
R1 Rock - Subaru wins
R2 Rock - Subaru wins

Again, not giving my opinion on the matter so don't be angry at me! Just the facts.

Considering he's one of the first to comment on other's driving standards I think Josh Cook has to have a long hard think about his own performance there. The move on Jackson looked like retaliation, and the accident with Neal was just downright crazy. He's got you on the brakes. Let him through and then try and fight back.

Ingram undoubtedly with the drive of the race there. Fancy him to get himself onto the podium in R3. Must be a long time since all 3 Hondas finished outwith the points - and in the case of 2/3 cars, not even on the black stuff.

Neal didn't have him on the brakes. Was too fast in and missed the apex by a bus length!

Then let Neal sail off into the distance and then turn in later. Don't drive into the side of a car that's clearly about to have an off.

You could argue that Cook should have let Neal have the corner, held wide and let the Honda sail off into the distance. Easy to say that now, of course.

Got to say that watching Neal skate off the road was one my personal highlights of the weekend so far!

Edit: beaten to it. But, yes.

maybe Mr. Gow might as well just give the title to Sutton and we don't need to bother watching the rest , only Turks can beat him but only if the Subaru boost is cut

Sutton 312
Turkington 300
Shedden 257
Collard 256
