Kaspersky is part of the Ferrari programme but who knows.

Would Markelov close his own team to drive for another?

Latifi, I don’t know as he is close to Mercedes too. Supposedly Mr Stroll is Canada’s second richest man while Mr Latifi (Purina) is the richest...

@peebee2
Hahaha.. I agree to you too!

I think Latifi can drive ART GRAND PRIX as well , as Latifi dad can sponsor him as the pay driver or even he can drive F1 in the future like Stroll did.

About Markelov I think he will drive to another team that because i think his own team was suffering the financial issues

How about your opinion? And will Ghiotto left F2 to join another race?

Not sure. Where did the budget come from for the F1 test?

But for Ghiotto I think is very hard to secure the F2 seat for the next season.
I bet his experience and pace could be valuable for a new coming team (Charouz,Carlin or Fortec) ,same goes for Fuoco

Silly season is when they only check the gop 3 cats and find two of them illegal! Prema team orders move Leclerc from likely DQ to P2!

It's very hard to say about the new coming team, some of the driver are hailed from now folded World Series Formula V8 3.5 particularly Pietro Fittipaldi , Matevos Isaakyan , Alfonso Celis Jr. , René Binder and Alex Palou as well. As well as GP3 champion and runner up step up to F2 such as George Russell, Jack Aitken and Nirei Fukuzumi. And the other EURO F2 as well to step up F2.

Sensible line up for Carlin, I would imagine Fittipaldi will be in one of the Charoux seats, same for Celis and Fortec. As for Ghiotto, surely he will find a seat somewhere, maybe back to Trident?

Let's hope they (someone with money) give Oli Rowland another go next year. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go to Fortec next to Celis jr. in 2018

You wonder if Carlin considered Rowland for their cheap second seat but maybe he was considered a bit too fast...

Or maybe Celis has already signed him of course. Though there were suggestions he was trying to get in at Prema ahead of De Vries but Jagonya decided to stick with Nyck. Being Sean’s friend pays off again!

Being Sean's friend may have its downside too. Perhaps Sean's dad is tired of the lack of results. Putting him in a Prema seat - the best team in F2 - will give him no place to hide. If he doesn't win there, he won't win anywhere. Perhaps this is the beginning of the end of Jagonya Ayam in F2?

Of course it is. And the start of it in F1. Just like F3 and 3.5 before it.

Before Gelael Starts in F1 he will have to rack up more points for the super licence thing

Being the veteran you are, you are probably correct. Sauber will always need 5 drives...oh wait, Monisha is gone.

Fukuzumi to F2 now? I can't say of all the drivers in GP3 this year that he stood out it was him. In fact barely anyone did except Russell.

Fuku dominated by Russell and Aitken beating him as well who had a very average year. Even Hubert (who bear?) was only 11 points behind Fukuzumi. And it was Fukuzumi that went in with his second season with ART while Russell and Hubert were rookies. So yeah a bit surprising Fukuzumi is moving up.

De Vries I think is the best option for Prema to be honest. He had a rough 2016 against Albon and Leclerc with ART, with some mistakes and bad luck, but he's got the talent and was better than the season points showed (still beat Fukuzumi though). So I'd have put him in the #1 seat as well. Assuming Rowland moves on or stays loyal to DAMS.

Hey what about Ticktum? Does he have the budget/sponsors to completely bypass GP3? A season in GP3 for him is a waste. I've always disliked him for "that incident", but damn he is quick isn't he? Scores twice as many points as all 4 DAMS drivers combined in just 4 races, and that Macau win! Latifi's never going to win a title so....

If Hartley or Gasly end up being slow they'll need to pull him up to Toro Rosso for 2019 and spending a year in F2 will be far better preperation than GP3 battling behind the dominant ART's.

I see Norris signed with Carlin. Bit of a mistake I think. Probably won't be a title contender in their first year.

Isn’t all the 2017 private testing their ‘first year’ in many ways? Or maybe underdog status suits?

Ticktum much more likely to do F3.

Alex K has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
My God, Gelael is being hammered even in a Prema car.

Cars do not perform miracles. Nor Prema engineers. It's dead easy to die; it's the keeping on living that's hard.

What tyres were Prema running?

Did the teams have to try both sets?

After all there was quite a difference between their pace on softs than on mediums plus Sean ain't never gonna be a Leclerc or even Fuoco.

Where do we think Antonio will end up?

GT3?

Everyone had Mediums for the test to help rookies get more laps, so all the same.Fucco will be at Charoux I think.
