Formulahistory should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2016 Formula 3 European Championship silly season

It looks like the FIA will allow the teams just to run 4 cars. So that could have an effect of Carlin for example.

What could the grid be like next season?

I think Prema Power will have the top guys from Italian Formula 4 at the F3 team, so Ralf Aron and Guanyu Zhou.

Same will be the case at Carlin, but Callum Ilott could stay. They also want to run Pedro Piquet.

I hope Maini and Lorandi will stay at Van Amersfoort. Joey Mawson could climb up the ladder.

Piquet could also have a run with Hitech as the Piquet family and Hitech worked together in GP2 some years ago.

Prema Power: Dennis Olsen, Ralf Aron, Guanyu Zhou
Carlin: Callum Ilott, Lando Norris, Colton Herta
Van Amersfoort: Arjun Maini, Alessio Lorandi, Joey Mawson
Mücke: Mikkel Jensen, Marvin Dienst, Robert Shwartzman
Signature: Dorian Boccolacci, Marlon Stöckinger
Motopark: Markus Pommer, Sergio Sette Câmara, Joel Eriksson
Fortec: Pietro Fittipaldi, Dan Ticktum, Jehan Daruvala
West-Tec: Raoul Hyman, Fabian Schiller, Tanart Sathienthirakul
Double-R: Matheus Leist, Niko Kari
Hitech: Mitchell Gilbert, Pedro Piquet
T-Sport: Nick Cassidy, Nabil Jeffri

Will Palmer is eyeing GP3 and F3. Not sure which one he'll go for but throw his name into the mix.

Personally I'd love to see Albon, Russell, Sette Camara, Jensen and Stroll all return for a title push. The grid should be strong in talent next year too!

Ben Barnicoat is testing with Prema this week, so don't cut him out!

Dan Ticktum has been given a 30 day licence suspension, which to be honest he should have longer, or it given away completely. I'd be surprised if Fortec keep him after this, as he won't be able to forget this one easily!

Oh dear, that really is very silly, a shame aswell, i think he has been the most impressive driver this year, he has had some rotten luck along the way this season, fingers crossed he learns from it and moves on.

We've had a few drivers test out for F3 teams. BRDC F4 champion Will Palmer seems fixed on doing one of GP3 or F3, and he tested for Carlin this week at Rockingham and Silverstone, opting for them over Motopark at Oschersleben.

At Oschesleben were Van Amersfoort, testing BRDC F4 runner-up Harri Newey, and ADAC F4 frontrunners Joel Eriksson and Joey Mawson. All 4 would have something to offer in F3 next season I feel, and it seems that Palmer is the only one eyeing GP3.

rather than linking drivers to teams at this stage, a more valid list might be of drivers looking to f3 as their next step for 2016...

i would agree.

Right now i don't think that deals are set in stone.

Some teams are testing few drivers before Macau but the bulk of the silly season will be after the big race when teams will test massively until christmas.

i think it's going to be interesting to see if not only well priced gp3 drives but well priced ex-formula renault 3.5 drives lure drivers from f3, especially some of the second year guys.

I like the way Norris is getting his head around his career despite having tons of money.

Good lad.

Zach Claman DeMelo and Akash Nandy are working towards an FIA F3 drives in 2016. DeMelo has contested several F3 Cup races with Carlin, and Nandy has been doing a lot of testing and F3 Cup / AustrianF3 test races with Performance Racing.

As of August this year, they were looking at a Euro F3 return for 2016 with the Oreca/Renault powerplant that Signature were originally scheduled to use for 2014.
