Super Black benefactor Tony Lentino has died in NZ, from cancer:

Wonder where this leaves the team after this year?

Very sad for his family and the team.

They had purchased a franchise since it was discovered he had cancer, so i am assuming there were some plans

I hear he died of a secondary brain tumour that gave him 6 months tops. He had managed to somehow survive lung cancer. Very sad day for the sport as I hear SBR will close at the end of the year.
I met Tony a number of times when he was running Andre and he was a top bloke with an infectious personality.
RIP Tony

Spoke with Tony a few times at different races.

A true gentleman who will be sadly missed.

My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
