Historic Sandown 2016 - pics!

The 25th running of Historic Sandown took place in Melbourne, Aus two week ago and provided a 2 day spectacle of the best sights and sounds one hopes to enjoy at historic race meetings.

While the thundering F5000's perhaps took unofficial top billing, the action was top drawer stuff in all categories. An untypical addition was the world series Formula Juniors, probably being seen for the first time by many spectators.

The following link is to a fairly comprehensive collection of my pics from the weekend, covering all categories, for your online enjoyment : https://www.flickr.com/photos/petere...57672778356943

There is also a results link to help the more keenly interested, if you click on 'show more' near the top of the first page and then scroll down.

I'm a very irregular visitor to forums these days, so with apologies in advance, I am not necessarily able to assist with vehicle/driver ID questions.

'Hope you enjoy the pics.

Many thanks! I typically post links to the collections of the two major events I go to each year, the Phillip Island Classic and Historic Sandown, so I'll be back for as long as I continue doing this

If you'd like to check back on any/other events I've covered, they are all visible from this link, with the first 7 albums being some highlights : https://www.flickr.com/photos/peterellenbogen/albums

Also, thanks all for taking the time to look and for your comments.

Take care
Peter
