JD Media should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
FIA F3 - 2018

A bit early, but they have there first signing already: Fabio Scherer joins Motopark for 2018. He did some testing 2 weeks ago at Zandvoort. Julian Hanses & Jonathan Aberdein were driving as well for Motopark.

Dan Ticktum was also driving (with Double R) on Zandvoort and told me he will do F3 next year instead of GP3, seems like RedBull wants it that way. his teammate during the test was Enaam Ahmed.

No calendar yet, but probably it will be (except for 2/3 events) the same as DTM again.

Formula Renault Eurocup 2.0 champ Fenestraz joins the Macau GP so looks like to do F3 next year. He got a nice livery for Macau btw.

Juntos is a back marker
Is Double R back in FIA F3? Last time they raced there they got beaten up big time. Boyo went troppo.

Not sure if they will do FIA, thought I read something about F3 Open for Double R.

IS the fact that Hi-Tech is not entering Macau GP a sign that they will withdraw from European F3 Championship?

Rumors annunce Mazepin at ART GP in GP3 ...

No Mazepin, quite possibly no Hi-tech as it is his team and he has bankrolled everything and subsidised the other seats seats. Not real.

that would be worrying for the 2018 Fia F3 Championship if one more team leaves , good thing they will merge F3 and GP3 from 2019

They tried to get Prema in but they declined. And DAMS are quitting after their disastrous driver line up this year. So yes a couple of slots at keast

MP Motorsport will take over the Dams Licence , not really sure if the DAMS line-up is 100% responsable of the results maybe engineering was also weak point.

An article from Motorsport.com said that many graduates from F4 or other junior single seater series are looking opportunities into Formula 3, still have the hope even it may the final season of the "real" Formula 3 series

Carlin is testing with 6 cars at Zandvoort today.

Fenestraz (in Norris his car), Daruvala, Habsburg, DeFrancesco, Ameya (in Fenestraz his Macau car) and another one in an all white (brand new looking) car..

in fairness his surname doesn’t really fit on a car

Armstrong confirmed at Prema.

My guess as i know most of the guys are testing already with those teams..

Prema:
- Armstrong
- Schwartzman
- Yu Zhou
- Schumacher
- Aron?

Carlin:
- Habsburg
- DeFrancesco
- Daruvala
- Fenestraz
- Troitsky
- Vaidyanathan

Motopark:
- Ticktum
- Vips
- Scherer
- Aberdein
- Hanses

And then i don't know about VAR & HiTech, let's hope both will be there with 1-2 cars at least. Hopefully VAR can keep Mawson, he is fast. But i wouldn't be surprised to see Mawson & Drugovich go F3 Open.

Can Laliberte swerve F3 again with his VAR team?

Not sure HiTech can handle the economic realities if Mazepin turns off the tap.

They (VAR & HiTech) both posted the recent calendar with 'ready for 2018', so I still got some good hope. Maybe Honda is getting 1 or 2 Japanese drivers over for HiTech, wouldn't mind seeing a fast UK guy (Scott?) in the other seat.

About VAR... Newey seems to be going LMP2, Piquet wouldn't do another year, would he? Mawson is always in doubt because of the lack of sponsors...

Both teams depended on their owners giving cheap drives last couple years. If they keep doing it, ok. If not...

AFAIK Laliberté did not finish the season in ADAC F4 , he did not even score a single point , so stepping up to FiaF3 would just embarrasse him nothing else
