In the days of the "Macclesfield Marshals Factory" you'd have had loads of offers. It'll be good to see you again, Mick.

Apart from Pre 66 touring cars they're pretty small grids for some long races. Still, it breaks us all in gently. I'm sure most meetings won't finish so early.

Popped in to Oulton today during a spare afternoon, some lovely looking machinery, and a very eclectic mix, National Formula fords, Formula renault, F3 both British and Club level , and some of the British GTs including the BMW Z4 and a mix of the masters cars, as well as the ex Steve Soper Sierra R500 in Texaco colours, not sure if this is out to play tomorrow as it's too young!

See you all bright and early tomorrow morning ,

Boxes and food organised

Well the prophets of doom were wrong!

Quiet day at Old Hall, only 2 incidents all day , a Ford Falcon into the barriers, gently and a Healey with damaged steering causing a safety car so it could be revovered, and i think equally quiet around the rest of the posts

Lunch, plenty of time

Early finish, we were home before 18:30

The weather prophets were right though with a few showers

Some lovely cars and some spirited racing, my driver of the day has to Simon Hadfield in the Cobra chasing down the TVR in the Gentleman racers to end the day off

Good day at Island / Fulstons nothing much to do apart from watch the mustang sit for an age side on across the track on the apex of Island corner. driver waved for us to go and give him a push, but considering that he was there because his back end locked up with a bang on the way in and where he was sat, we graciously declined. He managed to use the started to jump the car off track so no prob there.

One of the team left his waterproof jacket hanging on the catch fence near the box I have taken it home for safe keeping and will have it with me next week for the BARC meeting. come and claim it at sign on if its yours.

Excellent day, a good few hardy spectators, the showers weren't really worth bothering about and there were some really nice motor cars out there playing. Aren't Chevron B16s pretty ?

My first day flagging in about 10 years so I'm glad it was fairly quiet. I did get to wave several flags, usually at appropriate times, though getting the blue flag right is as tricky as I remember, particularly in long pit stop races. Many thanks to Ian for the training and encouragement.

Very quiet day on Lakeside - this is a relative term with Aidi on post and 7 litres of Stingray thunder on the track. Great to see everybody again, just a shame there weren't more cars on the track with slightly shorter races. By the way, whatever happened to the promised Sainsbury fuel vouchers?

Ah, so now I know who janeybobs is! I'm glad you enjoyed your day - it was good, if a little bit daunting, to see so many new faces.

Apparently they hadn't arrived from Sainsburys in time for Saturday, but don't worry, you will get them.

We found one of the MSVR reps at the end who told us they were still waiting for them from Sainsbury's and would get them sorted once they arrived. Not holding my breath though.

A quiet day at Lodge as well!!
4mins into the first qualifying session and the No 3 Jaguar woke up my two flaggies on Lodge In by turning left under braking for Lodge and giving the barriers a hard slap just past their box!!!!
I thought 'here we go' it's going to be one of those days, but it quietened down after that with the exception of the No 36 Ford Mustang oversteering and spinning across the track down in the bottom of Dear Leep and coming to a stop.
Highlight of day was the pack of Mini's all practically throwing themselves through Lodge during the Pre-66 touring car race, the No 57 in particular had some SPHERICALS!!!!!!

Met some old familiar faces and met some new ones as well,we had a good laugh and a safe day,see you on the 24th

I no nothing of the above mentioned vouchers but what a great gesture! Something very useful for all car users! Thanks to the Masters series for that and also for some wonderful machinery and some good racing yesterday! Just like everyone else we had a quiet one on Shell, just a turf shower from the UFO capri and the E Type in the kitty litter at the end, good company, bad jokes and and great day on the bank to start the season! Hope to see you all next weekend!
