A Quartermaine should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
National Club Formula Ford

Next Wednesday the BRSCC is hosting a forum to gather input to the 2008 Club Formula Ford Championships, one of the discussions will be the introduction of a National Club series, which I believe will run in a complimentary manner to the existing NW & MS Series.

Personally I think its a good idea to increase grids and see some faces from the regions more regularly than the annual season finales. How keen are others to travel a bit more and potentially have more competitive race meetings?

youngoldy has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
If they could get an Irish series to be joined with it, it will be like having a mini WHT meeting once a month. I think having a national series will create more racing battles, more unpredictable and more people likely to win the championship, and I for one, really do hope it works out.

This year, we did the full NW series, and the Midlands South FF championship, and all the extra money that was spent all for a championship we could only do half of. We managed two double headers and single header.

Some people dont see it working, but if we get support, and get everyones opinion, get it off the ground, and make suggestions on what to alter for 2009.

The reason this has failed in the past is because there are a few perticular people who only want to race at their local track, and theirfor, demand for a national championship was low. But there were those who wanted a national series. I think there is nowmore demand for a national series.

If there are still those particular few who don't want to a national series, then just let them race at their home track, whilst those who want to do all the rounds, do all the rounds.

I would compete in a national championship if it was over something like six rounds.

This would be at the expense of me competing in a full NW championship but should this happen the plan would be to hire out our Ray anyway.
