sorry boots- Davidson was 2/10ths quicker than Webber in Hungary too - setting 14th fastest time overall. In a car he'd never driven, at a track he'd never seen before.

He qualified within the 107% rule on his first flying lap in qualifying - earning him a round of applause from Ron Dennis as he drove past.

I was impressed. Even more so when we all saw how well Webber has come to be regarded.

Sure is !...that would be a very strong line up indeed ...

As for Hungary and Spa .. ..John Watson was also very impressed with both his performances in the Minardi , At Hungary he hadnt ever even drove on the circuit let alone been in the car .

Hope he gets a race seat next year for sure !
