O'Schumacher should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Junior series

There are too many junior single seater series' about now. FFord, F3,FRenault, F3000, Euro3000, dallara nissan, FFord junior, Zip formula, FC euroseries, formula challenge, and the new rockingham based oval series. It's time organisers streamlined and reduced costs for the main championships. Let's have a return to the traditional ladder, like the suggested one below:

Formula Zip
FFord
Frenault
F3
F3000
F1

Interesting idea but there will be a lot of teams, drivers and mechanics out of work.

The need for clarity in the single seatere ladder is a must but if you cut out other series, the grids for the others will get to big.

Just look at this yr's FRenult, the grid is bulging with entries yet Fford (senior) are struggling to get a full grid.

Streamlining single seater series is a must but just culling other series isn't the answer.

In the next year, there are several new championships being created at different levels, and they can't all survive, there just isn't the money and demand out there.

There's:
ZipFord
Challenge Initiative
EuroLights
Premier 1

Some championships are going to go, but the question is which ones? It may be that some of the new ones never happen or that old ones die off, but all these championships cannot survive together.

but surely if they place F Ford zetecs with the F3 calender then more drivers would want to race that series like they have with Junior FF....it seems they are worried that they will not be noticed by the right peoplenracing with the Toca package.

...and what about the US Formula 3 Championship - where does that fit in?

It's a bit of a strange championship. It was launched in 2000 but never really took off. It had around 10 cars in the first year with some good teams and decent drivers but then faded away last year when it was run along side another championship. I think there were only about 3 F3 cars with the rest being F/Ford 2000 or F/Mazda single seaters. It hasn't really been accepted by the US Racing comunity and certainly not by the bigger championships when it came to looking for potential drivers. They seem to be making an effort this year to try and revive it but with budgets of around £250 000 - £300 000 it would be better to race in Toyota Atlantic or Barber Dodge

You could resolve some problems by joining series together.Say FC Euroseries & Euro Lights join together it would get better grids and cut the series.Formula fords to join together in 1 field with Formula Ford & Formula Ford Jnr combined.Premier 1 & GP Masters join together with Legendary Drivers racing for Football teams. So what do you think.

the Budgets were more like £500-600k for USF3. It was stupidly expensive in an overexposed and underfunded US market. Lights and Atlantics were practically dead and people wanted to introduce F3?
