I'm not sure if it was on this forum, but when Toyota was way off pace last year around LM, they were being poked at and this news came up about the bad things going on for them. There were other job offerings on the TMG page and truck driver was one of them. I can't take credit, someone else put it together.

Nice info here from Mat Fernandez Twitter, 6000km covered by two TS050's at Aragon including a 30hr endurance.

There must have been some considerable delays in that 30hr test though, because one car would easily cover 6000 kilometers with steady running over 30 hours.

Considering that they claim the test went well, I believe they did 30hr with one car and something else(tweeks) with another. so 6000km sounds good to me.
For a bran new car, I think they are doing well!

I like it too, it shows that the company is involved in the racing program on multiple levels.

Did they jack the V6 from Cosworth/Nissan? Would save some huge development costs. After all, Bowlby thought the world of it and it was the only thing that worked properly on the car.

That's probably the last thing Toyota would outsource Glad it's a V6, though. Adds diversity to the field. Now I wonder if the 2.4L displacement rumor is real.

Isn't the Nissan V6 an enormous thing? I'd have thought Toyota will be looking for something more compact.

Are there really people who would seriously entertain the idea that Toyota would be using an engine that was branded Nissan before one of their cars? Seriously people...

tyronnezx has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
This will be a real test for Toyota against the Nissan effort. at least where Powertrain and energy recovery systems are concerned with time constraints, budgets and reliability and the ability to get it all together is concerned

Not really worried about it coming together like Nissan. Toyota said they've had this powertrain in development for a couple years now. Plus they have TMG at their disposal. Coming from the supercap they definitely know there needs to be an improvement of performance from the batteries in relation to it. Will be interesting to see.
