Harley to sponsor BJR. Could they not have found a team with a couple of drivers who were not the most non-stereotypical Harley riders? http://www.speedcafe.com/2017/03/14/...n-partnership/

The Penske doco that Cromley aired on Fox last night was compelling viewing. That facility in North Carolina is quite something else. Certainly reinforced the upwards trajectory DJR/TP is on right now. Roger does not like losing, in anything.

Roger doesn't F around, I have read and looked on the net at what he has done. No half measures.
From a driver to running a business, and building an empire , Roger just did what hat to be done.
I remember a friend ,who was lucky enough to go to a Penske dinner in the late 90's at the gold coast.
When asked about his drivers that day, Roger "replied, they were ****, we called both cars in and parked them"
The driver debriefing would have be fun to be a fly on the wall.
Yes Roger is a task master, but he does reward his people

A great organization.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
does anyone know what this whole is for on the back of the car. appears to be a place to insert something, wondering if it is for roll centre adjustments or similar

just above the N and the O in Lenovo.

All cars seem to have similar?

I don't believe the roll centre is an adjustment on the IRS cars, but I think there is an adjustment for rear ride height which this may be. Seems odd that it would be in the middle of the boot though.

Holden have it in a similar spot, Ford have it left of centre near tail light.

That's the TV camera, it is hemispherical shape because there's a plastic sheet which moves across to clean the camera when there's bugs or rubber build up.

Holden's have it directly under the rain light, Fords have it in the number plate area offset to the left.

Its for the rear view camera to be placed during races. Camera used for the broadcast or for race investigations

Better idea, compared to the blind leading the blind in her last two Bathurst starts.

I might have thought Mr Ingall would have been perfect for this role... what doesn't he know about this stuff... and has the cred to keep Harvey Norman sweet as well...

Harvey Norman don't sell boats so I doubt he'd be interested

So... who might show up as title sponsor of the #8 BJR car at Symmons Plains?

Interesting to read on FB in recent days that Coates Hire has put together a collection of stories/images about Mr Percat's junior categories & development series involvement.

You might think that they wouldn't bother doing this for someone they don't support... and Mr Percat's new 2017 helmet doesn't seem to have Coates Hire on it...

A larger involvement perhaps?

They have had a long term involvement in his career at Walkinshaw at least. They are a good brand with national outlets, and BJR have always been sponsor friendly. I hope they come on board.

Yeah same, I have a soft spot for the Albury boys.

I'd worry though that if they couldn't get a sponsor on board for two of the biggest races of the year (Adelaide and GP) then why would they come on after, unless of course its at a reduced rate...

I have seen a side of Shane Van Gisbergan that proves he is an arrogant stuck up turd. A fellow Iracer I know of in Mitch McLeod has raced against SVG numerous times and has been intentionally taken out time after time but the supposed alien driver. Van Gisbergan is nothing but a sore loser, I once supported him. I wont put a link to it here incase it is against copyright or something but look up Mitchell McLeod on youtube, very clean racer at that too
