Austin McHale to rallycross at Mondello

Heard a whisper that Austin McHale will be driving GT's 6r4 in the next round at mondello. can anyone clarify this? have not seen entry list for mondello yet so cant say from that.

It was mentioned on the rte radio station this morning that austin would be out at the rallycross on the 25th november during the coverage of rally ireland. will have to wait for a confirmed entry list. if this is true it will bring great publicity to the sport.

shhh has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I can confirm this but it will be in the RS200. Deal was done at the bar in the Clarion last night. Nesbitt is trying to organise a mount aswell

i'm sure goerge can loan him a car. oh to have money. its great for the sport to see high profile drivers in rallycross , all we need now is some publicity for the event. someone needs to have a word in mondello's ear.

welcome to ten tenths noarse. quite a name. tom how come coc orders that no entries after 5pm thursday. which thursday? and does that mean that if there is low entry list the next day the coc has to answer for it.

No its the fault of people who cant get entries in on time. The grids are made out manualy by a volunteer on friday and copys them saturday but they usualy wind up in bin sunday morning by a few disorginised people who cant get there entries in on time and would cry if they get back rows allday. Just a little consideration for the people who give up there weekends organising the events from the clubs without them there will be no sport for us . 3 more days for the Late entries save somebody a time and get in the entry.

So you want to be a F1 driver then. No place for that in Rallycross. Cant think of one Driver who behaved like that in Rallycross. Ha Ha Ha. Is that steam i hear.

No the COC would not do the grids the other TK does them if your not on the list on thursday then you will be on the back row all day or wont race. Take more than that to upset me. So when are you going to be a man and stop hiding behind The Fiddler. Even put it on your car what class do you run in rallycars?

Hahaha, enjoyed reading the little b**ching session you 2 were just having, makes for amusing readin for people not involved!

But as with the main thread headline, hope to see Nesbitt & McHale on sunday, will make for a brilliant day out, and might be nice if austin brought his 2 sons with him and get them a drive as well, would be very good.

As said by Matti, Roll on sunday!

its nice to take a pop at officials every now and then. but saying that hats off to the guys who all volunteer their time for these events. still no sign of an entry list on mondello website. will be interesting to see if any more rally drivers follow in mchale & nesbitts footsteps and join in the fun in rallycross.

Anyone know what the situation with points is for the 07 championship, i know they had been delayed being released cos of an appeal fom the last round, i assume this is the coyne incident, but surely the points should be sorted b4 this round so everyone knows what their fighting for, maybe tom can advise on this!

Its up to the stewards of the event to ok the results until then I cannot do points as what I may produce may be wrong Because the championship is so close no matter what the outcome.
