FYI- The 2016 HSCC Berazzi Wheels International Historic Formula 2 Championship Calendar dates are: -

Donington Historic Festival April 30th - 2nd May

Historic Grand Prix Zandvoort September 2nd - 4th

The meetings for 2016 are-

March 05/06 Valencia

April 01/03 Jarama (joining Peter Auto grids)

May 21/22 Pau Historique (invited grid- one 60 minute race)

June 24/26 Spa Summer Classic (Roadbook 3 HOUR race)

September 10/11 Jerez (30th anniversary of the circuit)

October 28-30 Algarve Classic Festival (Portimao, assume with N European organisers joining, although none confirmed yet)

November 26/27 Estoril Racing Festival

Worthy of UK interest is that Spa Summer Classic will feature a new 'half six hour' race on the Saturday, with two mandatory pit stops and refuelling a la 6hr.

Also of note, the date declared for the Algarve event in October (28-30) does not immediately clash with either Masters visit to Jarama (15/16) or the Peter Auto event at Imola (22/23). However, with Peter Auto also at Le Castellet Oct 1/2, plus the HVM run Dijon 'Motors Cup' on 8/9, that's five weekends in a row- S France, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal......... Wonder if anyone will attempt all five!

Sadly, unless Peter Auto 'adjust' the regs for Spa Classic, it's over 2 litre pre-66 cars only. Seem to remember the first year, when we both did the Touring Car races there, due to low entries they combined the under 2 litre grid (which they haven't repeated) with the bigger engined and later cars?

OK, having made the comment yesterday regarding N European organisers slotting into the Algarve Classic next October, Motor Racing Legends have confirmed their 2016 calendar, and..... are going.

MRL are due to announce 'some important rule changes' for their Historic Touring Car Challenge in the New Year, aimed at boosting entries of Gp1 and GpA cars. I'll post a link when the website is updated!

I don't think Carol will go as she got a very poor response, I don't understand why. . . apparently last year people didn't even bother going out for the night race !!!

I've emailed PP and asked if they'd consider all App K pre66 in with the later stuff, as we ran in '13 . . .the circuits big enough and its no different to say the 6 hour pace wise.

Will, so Peter Auto abandoning Portimao late October then! I'll put up with a trip to Imola instead..... Can't say I'm surprised though, can't imagine PP was impressed with the events of this year. Will be interesting to see if- (a) The Algarve Classic happens, and (b) If the date is earlier to allow time for anyone wanting to do both managing to do so!

Just picking up on this. Portimao is the last weekend in October. Although CER isn't there, there is a classic GT/Sports race.

Yes, I did mention date later in Iberian Historic Endurance post, and after that fact that MRL are taking grids. We are still waiting to hear if GTSCC are confirmed as well, their calendar should be released this week......
