Eurosaloons & Sportscars 2012.

With the new season kicking off this Saturday at Silverstone I thought it may be good to get a thread up. I really like this series for the almost open regulations, and a chance to regularly see Supertourers and other touring cars race everything from Marcos Mantis's to Fiat Tipo's.

24 March
Silverstone GP (rounds 1 and 2)

13 May
Cadwell Park (rounds 3 and 4)

9/10 June
Brands Hatch (rounds 5 and 6)

30 June/1 July
Rockingham (rounds 7 and 8)

21/22 July
Snetterton (rounds 9 and 10)

18 August
Oulton Park (rounds 11 and 12)

29/30 September
Anglesey (rounds 13 and 14)

20/21 October
Donington Park (rounds 15 and 16)

Does anyone else here like this series?

PS: Could someone copy & paste the entry list for the Silverstione round as my computer is too slow to let me open it.

Oh dear, bad luck.

I see you were in Class E with the Saxo.

I agree that it is a very good championship, also for spectators. Where else will you see GT's vs Supertourers vs 4WD Turbo's going on at the same time as Saxo vs Tipo vs Civic? This is why I like it so much; because although big, powerful stuff appeals to me, I still think you can't beat the racing you can get from lower powered stuff, especcially if there even. Ma5da Cup races are good for that too.

PS: Stuart, Did you have any hairy moments in terms of, and I don't mean it badly, being lapped?

I would just like to say congratulations to 10/10's member Andy Robinson who won a race on Saturday! If anyone else was racing, sorry I wasn't aware you were.

Does anyone know how to chynage the thread title? I was just thinking of renaming it 'Arrowpak Eurosaloons & Sportscars Championship.'

Kipper; Does that entry list cover the Sakers also? Or are they under a separate entry?

Do you guys think this Saker thing will help Eurosaloons?

The above list covers the Euro Saloon entry only. For Brands, the Sakers have their own grids. From what I have read the Sakers have attracted a grid of 10 (which has been boosted by a number of Dutch runners) and two invitational entries (a Prosport LM3000 and a Ginetta G50).

In the past sometimes the eurosaloons have had too many entries so they have had to split the races & with the sakers struggling to reach double fingers, they thought about spliting the eurosaloon races & adding the sakers in with us, but as it turns out we have just the right no for one complete race
The sakers are nothing to do with the eurosaloons & in the past the single saker used to race with us as there was no saker challenge.

I think the saker challenge is too get double figures on the grid

heres a link to my photos from Sunday, including the Euro Saloons race and some from the Saker sessions

http://www.flickr.com/photos/coletri...7630106595458/

for me the Euro Saloons race was the most exciting of the day by far, supertourers, v8 supercars and big bhp 4wd stuff, and old BTCC supports cars all in one race! shame the super tourers dropped by the wayside

was great watching the Cerbera work its way through the pack, particularly interesting when trying to get past stuff that obviously had miles more bhp but was not as nimble through surtees / clearways
